Chartered by Congress in 1958, The Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of military men and women who received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat. Although our membership is restricted to the combat wounded, we support all veterans and their families with a myriad of nationwide programs by Chapters and National Service Officers.

Greeting fellow Military of the Purple Heart members and webmasters. We are holding a Web site competition ending May 26th. So you all got plenty time to build one if you have not done so. Grading will be on navigation of website, and layout. At least three pages are required to enter. Winner will get bragging rights for a year and a logo award of such to retain on your web site forever.

There are plenty of FREE websites on the Internet that will host your site and give you a sub domain name (Tripod is really a good one) so it would be free to you. Example the Winona Chapter:
www.purpleheart5555.orgfree.com Orgree.com is a good site to host your web site for free as they the 4 Nickels have chosen it and it has Front Page or standard extensions to upload. Again lets all be up and running with submitting your website to be judged.Announcement of winners 1st and 2nd place to be made. June 5th. Send your web address
